1007 CarPC

So.. I have just bought my 1007 and I want to install my CarPC onto it.

I need a bit of help. I have a 7 inch VGA touchscreen monitor and I want to install it up on the dash instead of the info LCD. Is there any way I can relocate this LCD? I want to install the monitor there but I also need the info regarding consumption and temperature. What size does the original navigation screen have?

The CarPC itself will be installed in the glove box, there`s plenty of space.

I am still searching for a suitable soundcard (by suitable I mean cheap and good ). For audio necessities I have a pair of Helix SPXL amplifier and subwoofer (about 1750 W rated power). I don`t know if the doors will cope with such amount of power, I surely hope so...

Alors .. Je viens d'acheter mon 1007 et je veux installer mon CarPC sur elle.

J'ai besoin d'un peu d'aide. J'ai un 7 pouces à écran tactile VGA de surveiller et je veux l'installer sur le tableau de bord au lieu de l'info LCD. Est-il possible que je peux déplacer ce LCD? Je veux installer le moniteur là, mais j'ai aussi besoin de l'info sur la consommation et de la température. Quelle taille de l'écran de navigation d'origine ont?
Le CarPC se sera installé dans la boîte à gants, il l `abondance de l'espace.

Je n `sais pas si les portes face à cette somme de la puissance, je l'espère sans doute ...

Waouh, great job to be done !

You intend to install your touchscreen in place of your LCD screen ! ... I am afraid that you will face a lot of difficulties to control the computer since the LCD place is a bit far, except if you have very long arms (it's already not very confortable to change the hour twice a year).
Nevertheless, it exists some balltracks that you could stick just beside the gear level.

Well.. This is going to be a compromise solution. Even though the monitor is touchscreen, I will not be using the touchscreen interface, because, as you said, the monitor is too far away. Instead I will be using two components:
- usb touchpad / wireless keyboard:

This device emulates the oem radio controls through USB. You can assign whatever shortcuts to the buttons. Up to 28 buttons can be emulated.

Eh bien .. Cela va être une solution de compromis. Même si le moniteur est un écran tactile, je ne serai pas en utilisant l'interface tactile, parce que, comme vous l'avez dit, le moniteur est trop loin. Au lieu de cela je vais utiliser deux composantes:

Cet appareil émule les commandes de la radio OEM via USB. Vous pouvez attribuer des raccourcis aux boutons tout. Jusqu'à 28 boutons peuvent être émulé.

En français : en clair, mesdames et messieurs les fervents admirateurs -comme moi- de la langue de Molières et pour ne pas froisser la loi de Sir Toubon (qui n'a sans doute pas été annobli par sa majesté la Reine), je n'ai pas le bras long, et donc je ne saurais pas jouer avec un écran tactile disposé aussi loin de mon siège confortable de conducteur. Donc il existe d'autres solutions qu'Avantime nous a trouvées.

I like the 4D portable mouse but I need either a wireless or a stationary device. I would like to integrate this keyboard in place of the cd-player.

J'aime la souris 4D portable mais j'ai besoin soit d'un fil ou d'un appareil fixe. Je voudrais intégrer ce clavier à la place du lecteur CD.

is there any tutorial on the forum regarding the wiring for an external amplifier? I have a 0AWG cable and i need to bring it inside the car from the battery. I could not see any holes on the panel between the engine and interior.

y at-il tutoriel sur le forum concernant le câblage pour un amplificateur externe? J'ai un câble 0AWG et j'ai besoin de le mettre dans la voiture de la batterie. Je ne pouvais pas voir les trous sur le panneau entre le moteur et l'intérieur.
